The Kumon Method, which originates from Japan, enables students to actively develop self-learning skills at levels appropriate to their abilities and aims to improve or instil confidence and knowledge in participants to solve challenging problems.
A study programme that is individualised to every child suited to their individual abilities, Kumon students study some Mathematics and some English for 20-30 minutes at home every day by doing assigned worksheets beside the twice-a-week learning at the centre.
Being the world’s leading after-school enrichment programme for students from pre-school to university, Kumon enables students to actively develop their self-learning skills rather than passively receiving instructions from teachers.
By progressing in small steps, they gain the confidence and knowledge to solve challenging problems and this individualised self-learning method has effectively improved the study skills of millions of students worldwide, maximised their potential and nurtured them to be the best that they can be.
