THE Japan Foundation and the Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam officially opened the 2nd Japanese Film Festival (JFF) in Brunei yesterday showcasing seven films at the Arena Cineplex, Seri Qlap Mall until February 28.
Ambassador of Japan to Brunei Darussalam Motohiko Kato was present to officiate the opening of the 2nd JFF.
This year’s JFF is hosted by Beluneu Films, and among the films to be screened during the opening were Chihayafuru Part 3 and Laughing Under The Clouds.
Japanese movie lovers can also catch Lu Over The Wall and Perfect World today at the Arena Cineplex.
Other movies that will be shown are Mixed Doubles and Color Me True on February 27, whereas Yakiniku Dragon will be the last title shown on February 28.
The ambassador said that it is the embassy’s pleasure to present the 2nd JFF where seven films will be shown including an anime movie, adding that he hopes viewers will be able to enjoy and deepen their understanding on the Japanese way of thinking and way of life.
JFF is an initiative by the Japan Foundation as part of its many programmes to promote cultural and intellectual exchange.
