THE Haj and Umrah Guidance Section under the Ministry of Religious Affairs initiated a series of courses for this year’s intending pilgrims at allocated centres nationwide yesterday.
The course in twelve sessions are conducted twice a week from 8am to 10am on Fridays and Sundays. With the first already held yesterday, the rest will take place on March 3, 8 and 10, and on April 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26 and 28.
The allocated course centres in the Brunei-Muara District are the Lambak Kanan Religious School, Pengiran Anak Puteri Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam Religious School, Pengiran Anak Puteri Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah Religious School and Sungai Besar Religious School.
In the Belait District, the sessions are conducted at Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Religious School and the Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Religious School.
In the Tutong and Temburong Districts, the courses are conducted respectively at the Pengiran Anak Puteri Norain Religious School and Temburong Arabic Preparatory School.
The courses are administered by 33 instructors and coordinators comprising experienced officials, Imams and religious teachers and aimed to help intending pilgrims understand the rules and regulations set by the government of Saudi Arabia.
