UNIVERSITI Islam Sultan Sharif Ali’s (UNISSA) Research and Publication Centre is showcasing UNISSA Press publications at the Brunei Book Fair 2019 at the Indoor Stadium, Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex.
The books are being displayed at Booth 54 at the event organised by the Language and Literature Bureau (DBP).
Besides the display of literary works, the Book Fair also featured discussions facilitated by Dean of the Arabic Language Faculty at UNISSA Dr Siti Sara binti Haji Ahmad on a book Bahasa Arab Untuk Haji-Umrah-Ziarah (Arab-Melayu), Assistant Lecturer at the Islamic Economics and Finance Faculty at UNISSA Muhammad Khairul Hidayatullah bin Haji Basir on the book titled Managing Oil Wealth: Lessons For Brunei To Learn From Norway and Lecturer at UNISSA’s Usuluddin Faculty Dr Shohibuddin bin Haji Laming on the book Kepedulian Masyarakat Brunei Darussalam Terhadap Bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah.
The sessions were moderated by officer at the DBP Surinah binti Haji Nordin.
The objective of the sessions was to highlight the writing talents of the UNISSA faculty members and honour them for their hard work and research in producing the books.
It also served as an opportunity for a more in-depth study of the books’ contents to be conducted and for UNISSA Press to promote its publications.
The event was attended by UNISSA Rector Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal.
Members of the UNISSA academics community, officers from government departments, students of Arabic schools, as well as members from Haj and Umrah package providers were present.
