TO EXPRESS gratitude towards Allah the Almighty for the local fruit season and bountiful fruitage blessed upon them, the farmers at the Rural Agricultural Development Land (LKPLB) in Bukit Tabalu, Kampong Kiudang, held a get-together and thanksgiving prayer ceremony.
The event was held to show the happiness of farmers at Bukit Tabalu on the fruitful efforts that they had accomplished, whereby some of their fruit farms are now ready for harvesting.
Among the local fruits cultivated by the farmers at Bukit Tabalu include various variants of durian, tibadak, rambutan, jackfruit, tarap, sukun, banana, langsat and corn, among various others.
Also present for the ceremony was the Village Head of Kampong Kiudang, Haji Mohd Saiful bin Abdullah Anja, members of the Kampong Kiudang Village Consultative Council and Head of LKPLB Bukit Tabalu, Haji Mohd Muhammad bin Abdullah.

The cultivation at LKPLB Bukit Tabalu, which is about 54 hectares, started in 2004.
Currently, the farms at Bukit Tabalu produce fruits for the local market.
The farms have also provided good additional incomes for the local farmers.
Members of the public who wish to buy the fresh produce can visit the farms or the Muafakat market.
