OVER 300 students attended the Rakan Remaja Penerangan (RRP) programme organised by the Information Department at Sayyidina Umar Al-Khattab Secondary School (SMSUA) in Lumapas yesterday.
The programme’s objective was to educate youth, especially school students on current developments aside from becoming a positive information dissemination agent for their peers.
It is also aimed at providing civic awareness and instilling a spirit of nationhood among the young generation.
Principal of SMSUA Sinasuria binti Haji Ibrahim, teachers and officials from the Information Department were also present.
Assistant Information Officer, Mohd Norakram bin Noraini @Bahrin delivered the nationhood talk on Brunei Darussalam’s national anthem and national flag. A video clip presentation on Kibarkanlah Dengan Megah Bendera Negara and Semarak Pengibaran Bendera as well as an animation video clip Tatacara Menaikkan Bendera Negara were also shown.
The students were also briefed on the Information Department’s mobile application ‘InfodeptBN’.
