The Annajat Complex in Beribi held a four-hour blood donation campaign yesterday morning, in collaboration with the Blood Donation Centre of the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital.
Some 45 pints of blood were collected during the activity to help supplement the blood bank at the Blood Donation Centre.
Akmal Nazihah binti Haji Shazali said that it was her third time donating blood. It started last year when one of her close friends encouraged her to donate blood.
“I hope the blood collected at this campaign will save the lives of those in need,” she said.
Donors were first screened by medical officers and they were reminded to follow guidelines such as physical distancing. The donors were also treated to light refreshment.
