Youth Volunteers under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) recently conducted Projek Kasih Lebaran 2020 at nine residences in the country. The activity was held in collaboration with various agencies.
Some 104 volunteers took part in the project which received support from National Service Programme (PKBN), Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD), Mind Your Mind (MYM) Brunei, Students Association of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (PMUBD), Brunei Students’ Union (BSU), Global Discovery Programme Universiti Brunei Darussalam (GDP UBD) as well as the District Offices and Municipal Departments. Head of the Youth Volunteer Hajah Noor Monasalieana @ Suzie binti Haji Mohd Salleh also participated in the community work.
The nine houses comprised two from the Brunei-Muara District in Kampong Mulaut and Kampong Lumapas, two from Tutong District in Kampong Birau and Kampong Bakiau, two from Temburong District in Kampong Negalang and Kampong Selapon and three in Belait District in Kampong Merangking and Kampong Bukit Sawat.
Among the activities included house cleaning. The activities were part of a donation drive held earlier this year.
