The public must adhere to the preventive measures set by the Ministry of Health (MoH) when visiting the Brunei International Airport, said the Department of Civil Aviation under the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications.

The department in a statement said, “To avoid overcrowding, passengers departing the Brunei International Airport are advised and encouraged to use a ‘drop-off’ practice or at least be seen off by no more than two persons,” adding that members of the public must refrain from picking up arriving passengers or face the mandatory two-week isolation.

Meanwhile, the Department of Civil Aviation has taken steps in preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the country including a temperature checkpoint at all designated entrances of the airport, providing a QR code at the entrances of the departure and arrival halls, providing hand sanitiser at the entrances and service counters public use, and marking seats, eateries, elevators and the surau as well as queuing zones to ensure the one-metre physical distancing is observed at all times.
