Brunei Darussalam continued its streak of no new COVID-19 cases for 45 days yesterday keeping the national tally of confirmed cases at 141.
No one is undergoing quarantine in the sultanate.
Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar made these revelations during a press conference yesterday.
The minister said, “Alhamdulillah, with the grace of Allah the Almighty there is no new COVID-19 case in the country.
“The total number of COVID-19 cases in Brunei Darussalam remains at 141.”
He added, “All contacts have undergone quarantine according to the Infectious Diseases Act (Chapter 204), with 2,823 individuals completing their quarantine.” Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham said 217 samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the past 24 hours, bringing the number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 26,468.
On the latest figures of the BruHealth app, the minister said, “Alhamdulillah, 395,164 individuals have registered on the application. For companies and premises, 10,123 have registered for the BruHealth application.”
Breakdown of businesses and premises registered for the BruHealth app shows 1,699 restaurants, 676 schools, 1,544 retail shops, 1,274 offices, 615 government premises, 355 food stalls, 186 gyms, 586 barbers and salons, 154 car workshops, 70 shopping complexes, 119 health centres and clinics, 58 recreational clubs, 49 places of interest, 103 supermarkets, 37 markets, 16 indoor playgrounds, 11 golf courses, 22 places of worship, eight cinemas, 276 hospitals, 309 take outs, 42 taxis, 12 petrol stations, 131 darts, nine nurseries and daycares, 165 mosques and suraus, 10 Internet cafés, 61 buses as well as
1,526 others.
Meanwhile, 5,459 have downloaded the PremiseScan application which includes 4,141 business premises.

In its breakdown of COVID-19 cases in the country, healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there were 110 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 25 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.
