Curtains were raised for Kolej International Graduate Studies (KIGS) VIBE Art and Multimedia Exhibition yesterday.
The eighth instalment of the week-long event is being carried out at a smaller scale to ensure guidelines set by the Ministry of Health (MoH) are followed.
KIGS Chief Executive Officer Dr Haji Azaharaini bin Haji Mohd Jamil told the Bulletin that despite this year’s scaled-down event, he was delighted to see students taking on bolder and more creative projects.
He added, “We hope it gets better and better each year, with more new materials being exhibited.”
On a documentary that is featured in the exhibition, Dr Haji Azaharaini hoped to collaborate with Radio Television Brunei (RTB) in the near future to have a time slot to showcase the students’ activities.

Meanwhile, KIGS Head of Academic Haji Hasnul Hamdani said the exhibition is a collection of final-year assignments of 46 students, and this year’s instalment is testament to the innovation and creativity of the students.
According to the college, the exhibition promotes, supports, connects and inspires the creative industry to boost the local economy. It works to inject much-needed vibrancy, especially during the current COVID-19 pandemic, where the public can take a close look at the works of these students.
The exhibition also aims at exposing students to the “world of work”, where professionalism is key, by equipping them with skills that increase their employability.
The VIBE Art and Multimedia Exhibition will run until August 31 at the college’s Gallery Ku.
