The Youth Development Centre (YDC) Light’s On II Programme was completed yesterday with a closing and certificate presentation ceremony.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin presented certificates to the 12 participants. The ceremony at the Surambi Hall of YDC began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and welcoming remarks by Assistant Director at the YDC Fauziah binti Haji Salleh.
Towards the end of the programme, six companies were registered – Petals Chocolate Corporation, Sadaqa Company, Ath Zien Corporation, KSR Enterprise, Siege Pollyfox Enterprise and IbnuSulaiman Enterprise.
Each of these companies introduced and pitched their products and services to a panel of industry experts. The event continued with a presentation by the programme coordinator Muhammad Nur Sallehuddin bin Haji Osman followed by a video presentation on YDC Light’s On II. There were presentations by the top three pitches.
During a tour of the participants’ booths, the minister got a closer look on the products and shared his ideas.
Permanent Secretary (Administration, Finance and Estate) at Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) Pengiran Mohd Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud and Permanent Secretary at the MCYS Pengiran Haji Mohd Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Youth and Sports) at the MCYS Colonel (Rtd) Pengiran Haji Maidin bin Pengiran Haji Said and senior officials from MCYS were also present.
