An 18-year-old from Kampong Mata-Mata walked away with a brand new car yesterday, even though she does not have a driving licence yet.
University student Nurul Afiqah binti Md Norilham, who bought a new smartphone at Digital World in April, was elated to find out she had won a new Toyota Vios worth BND24,000 as part of the ‘Spend & Win’ campaign organised by Digital World in collaboration with NBT Brunei Sdn Bhd.
“I never joined lucky draws before so I didn’t expect to win, but I was overjoyed when I started the ignition to the car to become the winner of the ‘Spend & Win’ campaign!”
Nurul Afiqah added she was lucky to have won the Toyota Vios as she planned to apply for her driving licence soon. “Now that I’ve won the Toyota Vios, I no longer have to think about buying a new car. For that, I am very grateful.”
Winners of the campaign were to be announced late June. The event was postponed to September due to COVID-19.
Other winners took home prizes which included a smart TV, smartphones, home appliances and gadgets from Digital World.

Digital World Managing Director Zubaidah Zainoh and Assistant General Manager of Marketing from NBT Brunei Audery Yong presented the prizes.
Digital World and NBT later unveiled the next campaign dubbed ‘Rush to Digital World 2’ along with the grand prize of a brand new Toyota Rush worth BND30,000.
The campaign officially began on September 11 and will continue until March 31, 2021. Ten contestants will be shortlisted every month leading to the grand draw. Seventy contestants will be selected by the end of March.
Customers who spend a minimum of BND100 on mobile phones or electronic goods stand a chance to win prizes, which include the latest smartphones, trendy gadgets, accessories as well as branded home appliances.
