The Youth and Sports Department at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) collaborated with the Mosque Affairs Department at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) and the mosque youth to hold a Wira Fajar Belia Sembahyang Subuh Berjemaah programme at Ar-Rahim Mosque in Kampong Bukit Panggal, Tutong District on Friday.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin attended the religious event that began with a mass Subuh prayer, led by the mosque’s Imam Haji Kamaluddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman.
It was followed by a tazkirah on Ciri-Ciri Pendidikan Islam, delivered by Head of Belait District Religious Enforcement Unit Haji Khairulizam bin Haji Jefrey and a recitation of Surah Al-Kahfi before concluding with a Sunnat Doha prayer.
The event drew the participation of 400 individuals including members of the Mosque Takmir Committee of Ar-Rahim Mosque and youth groups, government officials and residents of Kampong Bukit Panggal.
The programme was aimed at raising awareness on the importance of fulfilling prayer obligations among the youth as well as the various mosque activities.
