Brunei Darussalam yesterday marked eight days without recording new COVID-19 cases, keeping the national tally of confirmed cases at 146. This includes one active case receiving treatment at the National Isolation Centre.

The Ministry of Health (MoH) has taken 338 samples for testing for the SARS-CoV-2 virus over the past 24 hours, totalling 59,737 tests since January 2020.

A total of 373 individuals are undergoing mandatory self-isolation at government monitoring centres after arriving from abroad, while 6,444 have completed their mandatory self-isolation since March 2020.

Individuals who wish to take the SARS-CoV-2 swab test for travel purpose must do so three to five days before their flight date (subject to the terms and conditions of the country to which it is intended).

Swab tests for overseas travel can be carried out at the Berakas Health Centre and the Sports Complex of the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital.

At the Berakas Health Centre, the swab tests for SARS-CoV-2 are available from 8am to noon and 2pm-4pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday. On Friday, Sunday and public holidays, the tests are conducted from 2pm-5.30pm.

The swab tests at the Sports Complex of the RIPAS Hospital are conducted from 7am-10pm daily, except on public holidays.

In its breakdown of COVID-19 cases in the country, healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there were 113 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 27 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.

Updates can be obtained from www.moh.gov.bn, the Health Advice Line at 148, or through the BruHealth app or healthinfo.gov.bn.
