Roboticist Malaysia in collaboration with Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB) Primary School hosted Brunei Darussalam’s first Virtual Robot Programming Online Camp, in acknowledging the importance of knowledge sharing and fostering students’ skills in the field of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) among young people in
the region.
The online camp ran from November 16 to November 21 to support the school’s mission in providing students with 21st Century education in line with the national aspirations of
Brunei Vision 2035.
Students were introduced to robotics and robot programming while learning to apply the knowledge of STEM in a series of challenges.
The students were also taught to program a virtual robot using a block-based coding environment to gain a better understanding of the connection between robots and Computer Science.
The robotics program contributes to the development of the student skills in preparing them for the industrial needs, according to the school.
At the end of the camp, Roboticist Malaysia witnessed virtually the awarding of certificates and posed for a group photo with participants and teachers.
