MORE than 12,000 visitors were recorded throughout the three-day travel fair organised by Sabre Travel Network (Brunei) Sdn Bhd hed on the 7th Floor of The Centrepoint Hotel in Gadong.
The exhibition featured 19 participants including Royal Brunei Airlines, Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam and Baiduri Bank Berhad, Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board, Sarawak Tourism Board, Taiwan Tourist Bureau, Tourism Authority Thailand, Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism, Anthony Tours & Travel Agency, Century Travel Centre, Darussalam Holdings Sdn Bhd, Freme Travel Services, JJ Tour Service, Pan Bright Travel Service, Southern Cross Travel Agencies and Straits Central Agencies.
In an interview, Abdul Halim bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Senior Manager, Sales Marketing Department, Sabre Travel Network (Brunei) Sdn Bhd, said, “Sabre is a global distribution system (GDS), we provide systems for the travel agents for them to perform flight bookings, more than 30 local travel agents are using our system. During this travel fair more than 50 terminals were deployed for nine participating travel agents.
“We are growing every year in terms of exhibitors, and next year we are looking into hosting at a better venue where there is less traffic jam so more people can come by,” he said.
