Over 200 youth recently participated in the Wira Fajar programme to train youth to perform mass prayers at mosque.
The programme, organised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) in collaboration with the Department of Mosque Affairs, Ministry of Religious Affairs and Mosque Youths also provided exposure in beneficial religious activities in mosques.
This year, the programme was held in conjunction with the 37th National Day at STKRJ Kampong Lambak Kiri Mosque.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Major General (R) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin was present as the guest of honor.
Also in attendance were Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Permanent Secretaries at the MCYS Pengiran Mohammad Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud and Pengiran Haji Mohd Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan and Deputy Permanent Secretary (Youth and Sports) at the MCYS Colonel (Rtd) Pengiran Haji Maiddin bin Pengiran Haji Said.
The ceremony began with the mass Subuh prayer led by Imam Muhammad Wafiuddin bin Muhammad Wajeeh followed by a talk on “Youth and Patriotic Spirit” delivered by religious speaker from Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB) Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ajak.
This was followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Kahfi and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam led by Head of STKRJ Kampong Lambak Kiri Mosque Youth Awang Muhammad Nabil Waqiuddin bin Haji Muhammad and concluded with Sunnat Dhuha prayers.
