Aid for new converts

Thirty Muallaf families residing in Belait District received donations of basic necessities as part of Project Fathul Barakah 2.0 yesterday morning.

The donation was carried out by the Muallaf Development Department with cooperation from the Belait District Dakwah Unit and Sinar Islam Association (PSI).

Islamiah Da’wah Centre Director Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh was the guest of honour.

Head of Religious Officer in the Belait District Muhammad Aliyani bin Ismail, Head of the Muallaf Development Department Dr Hajah Rohanita binti Haji Yaakub, PSI representative Abdul Kalim bin Abdullah Igol and Head of Dakwah Unit in the Belait District Zikrinaidah binti Mat Dikir were present. Zikrinaidah explained how the project was based on donations collected from the public over the course of two days.

In total, 410 families have received donations through this project, which represented the efforts of Muallaf associations and the Islamic Dakwah Centre to further support new converts.
