THE 2nd day of the Under-23 Karate-Do Championship continued yesterday with 13 kumite categories at the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium Sports Complex in Berakas.
The championship is organized by Shotokan and Brunei Darussalam Karate-Do Federation (BRUKAF) with the cooperation of the Youth and Sports Department.
The 8 to 10 year old Boy’s -35kg category saw Afif Jazmin Syahmi and Muhammad Syahmi from Indoor Stadium taking gold and silver, respectively. Muhammad Ayyub from Sports School took 1st Bronze and 2nd Bronze went to Thaqif Arsyad Razzaq from RKBD.
Muhammad Ainul Azizan from Sports School won the 11 to 13 year old Boy’s -40kg category and his teammate Muhammad Asyraf taking silver. Muhammad Harith from RKBD took 1st Bronze and 2nd Bronze went to Low Wei Chen from Temburong.
Alexander Jacklya of Sports School won the 11 to 13 year old Boy’s +40kg category, while silver went to Muhd Rahmat from Indoor Stadium, Muhammad Danish from Sports School took 1st Bronze and 2nd Bronze went to Muhammad Iswandy also from Sports School.

Nur Razanah Shakila from Sports School won the 11 to 13 year old Girl’s -30, -35 & +30kg categories, Silver went to Farhah Farzana from RKBD, Nur Bazlina from Sports School took 1st Bronze and 2nd Bronze went to Nursyafiqah Syahirah from SMSSA.
Muhammad Iqram of Gojukai won the 16 to 17 year old Boy’s -55kg category and Mohd Adi Eswandy from SMSSA took Silver. 1st Bronze went to Michael Thein from Wado KB and Awangku Md Shahfri also from Wado KB took 2nd Bronze.
Md Khairil Wandi of SMSSA won the 16 to 17 Boy’s -61kg category and Muhd Amirul Hilmi from Gojukai took Silver. Ahmad Shukri from RKBD took 1st Bronze and 2nd Bronze went to Md Sherman Firdaus from Wado KB.
Md Sufizan from indoor Stadium won the 16 to 17 Boy’s +61kg category and Awangku Mohammad Azwar Rasyid from MD took Silver. 1st Bronze went to Abdur Rahman Abqari from PTE and Han Yi Teng from Temburong took 2nd Bronze.
Wahidah of Indoor Stadium won the 16 to 17 Girl’s +53kg category, Siti Nuratiqah from STPRI took Silver, Nabilah Azzahraa also from STPRI took 1st Bronze and 2nd Bronze went to Azrinatul Mutamimah from Wado KB.

Muhammad Khudiry from Sports School won the Boy’s -52kg category and Silver went to Muhammad Rayyan also from Sports School. Bryan Benedict from RKBD took 1st Bronze and 2nd Bronze went to Muhammad Danial also from RKBD.
Muhammad Adam Nawawie from Sports School won the 14 to 15 Boy’s -57kg category. Abdul Rahman from Indoor Stadium took Silver, Azrul Hazeq from Tutong took 1st Bronze and 2nd Bronze went to Muhd Fairuz from Gojukai.
Haziq Aiman from Sports School won the 14 to 15 Boy’s -63kg category and Silver went to Md Aiman from Temburong. Muhd Bakhtiar from Tutong took 1st Bronze and 2nd Bronze went to Muhammad Hisyam from Sports School.
Mohd Syafiq Wong from indoor Stadium won the 14 to 15 Boy’s +63kg category, Awangku Muhd Amin Hidayat from SMSSA took Silver, 1st Bronze went to Md Farhan from Tutong and Ahmad Abdul Hadi from RKBD took 2nd Bronze.
Shihan Pengiran Haji Yura Kesteria bin Pengiran Setia Negara Pengiran Dr Haji Md Yusof, President of BRUKAF presented the prizes to the winners of the tournament.
