THE 11th Belait Travel Fair has been a success in attracting visitors to enjoy cheap airfares and to mix with local travel agencies to obtain the benefits of their various holiday packages, said Hanif Abdullah, Acting Chief Commercial and Planning Officer of Royal Brunei Airlines (RB).
Speaking at the prize presentation ceremony for the travel fair yesterday at the Royal Brunei Recreation Club, he reiterated that RB wants to give more options to its customers so that they can select extra benefits.
During the fair, RB introduced a number of new products and benefits including the provision of carrying a minimum 30 kilogrammes of baggage for long-haul travel, accessibility to RB’s Royalty Programme as well as reduced fares.
Seven individuals were presented with fabulous prizes yesterday by Halim bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Marketing Manager of Sabre Travel Network Brunei, Pengiran Azaleen bin Pengiran Dato Haji Mustapha, Head of Retail Banking and Network of Baiduri Bank and Captain Khalidkhan bin Haji Asmakhan, Deputy Chief Operating Officer of RB.
Hajah Halimah binti Tatal won two return tickets to Dubai; Goh Kok Hong received two return tickets to Melbourne; Wong Boon Tzuen grabbed 50,000 Royal Skies air miles; Sofian bin Haji Ahmad won 30,000 Royal Skies air miles; Aini binti Pandin got 20,000 Royal Skies air miles; Mohamad Isa bin Mohamad Husin took home a brand new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3; and Nurshafinah binti Abdullah Mayoh won a new Samsung Galaxy Tab 4.
The award for top selling agents at the 11th Belait Travel Fair went to Pan Bright Travel Services followed by Darussalam Holdings and Freme Travel Services. The top selling award for Kuala Lumpur and London destinations went to Darussalam Holdings, while for Singapore, Freme received the honour.
The awards were given away by Captain Khalidkhan.
