PEHIN Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), yesterday received a courtesy call from General TNI Mulyono, the Army Chief of Staff, Indonesian National Army.
Also present during the call was Brigadier General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF).
During the call, Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih welcomed General TNI Mulyono and delegation to Brunei Darussalam.
The Commander of the RBAF also conveyed his condolences for the loss of three personnel from the Indonesian National Army in a military helicopter crash in North Kalimantan on November 25, 2016, as well as the recent earthquake in Banda Aceh on December 7, 2016.
Both sides expressed their satisfaction on the cordial and active bilateral defence relationship shared between the RBAF and Indonesian National Armed Forces, as well as the close friendship between the RBLF and Indonesian National Army. Both armed forces share a strong bilateral defence cooperation and mutual trust through regular visits, trainings, courses and joint military exercises.
