A TOTAL of 47 Umrah pilgrims under the Raudhah Al-Amin Travel Agency, a Kuala Belait-based tour operator, yesterday departed for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.
The group is expected to arrive in Jeddah at 12.40am (Brunei time) today.
The pilgrims, led by Haji Ahmad Nural of the Raudhah Al-Amin Travel Agency, will be in the Holy Land for around two weeks.
Haji Ahmad Nural said that two officers of the Raudhah Al-Amin including the owner of the travel agency Haji Rahman and Awang Asmalee have departed earlier and are currently in Jeddah waiting for the arrival of the pilgrims.
According to him, the second batch of the Umrah trip will depart Brunei on December 27 with a total of 36 pilgrims and two officers from the agency.
He said that the agency will strive to provide affordable Haj and Umrah packages for the locals.
Their Haj and Umrah pack-ages, according to him, are basically similar to that of other travel agencies.
However, their packages are different in terms of visiting programmes where the agency added a trip to Taif City in their programme and that they also offer flexibly timed visits for the pilgrims.
“There will be no time limit for each visit. The pilgrims can take as much time as they want and we will wait for them until they are satisfied touring the areas they visit,” he said.
“Raudhah Al-Amin does not see the pilgrims as its clients or customers. We treat and care for them as families just as we operate our business as one big family,” he added.
