THE Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism, Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Haji Apong, yesterday attended a special religious talk that was held in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul celebration for the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT).
The talk, which took place at the Simpur Hall of Rimba Horticulture Centre, was delivered by Dr Haji Noralizam bin Haji Aliakbar, Director of Core Knowledge Centre of Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB).
In his talk, Dr Haji Noralizam highlighted that one of the characteristics of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) that can be followed by Muslims is the development of communities through economic and trade activities.
The director also pointed out that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was the first Syariah economic thinker and activist, and that the system he adopted was based on the holy principles.
The religious event was further enlivened with a Dikir Marhaban by officers and staff of MPRT. To mark the closing of the event, a Doa Selamat was recited.
Also present during the religious celebration yesterday were the Acting Permanent Secretary at the MPRT, Wardi bin Haji Mohammad Ali, heads of department and unit, as well as officers and staff of the ministry.
