THE Outward Bound Brunei Darussalam (OBBD) has released its calendar of events for the 2017 Outward Bound Youth Programme.
According to Haji Mohamad Rosfazilah bin Haji Yusly, Special Duties Officer Grade I at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) in his capacity as the Head of OBBD, the activities are designed to, among other things, develop one’s physical and mental endurance, ability to think, self-reliance and discipline.
Under the 2017 Outward Bound Youth Programme (for ages 15-40), there are three packages namely ‘Basic Discovery Course: Youth Potential’ (runs for three days), ‘Exposure Course: Self Confidence’ (runs for two days) and ‘Basic Discovery Course: You Are Leader’ (runs for four days).
Those interested in taking part in any of the programmes will have to pay a fee. For more information on this, contact the OBBD.

January 9-11, January 27-29, February 6-8, February 13-15, February 24-26, March 20-22, March 27-29, April 4-6, April 10-12, April 17-19, May 1-3, May 8-10, May 15-17, July 4-6, July 10-12, July 17-19, August 7-9, August 15-17, August 21-23, September 5-7, September 11-13, September 18-20, October 2-4, October 10-12, October 16-18, November 6-8, November 13-15, November 20-22, December 5-7, December 11-13 and December 18-20.
Exposure Course: Self Confidence
January 9-10, January 28-29, February 6-7, February 13-14. Haji Mohamad Rosfazilah told the Sunday Bulletin that though these dates have been set for the year, more dates could be added depending on the availability of OBBD members.
Among the activities that will be carried out include Jungle Trekking, Final Run, Solo Camp, Camping, Whitewater Kayaking, Sea Kayaking, Rafting and many others depending on the selected package.
All participants will a certificate issued by the MCYS upon completion of their respective programmes.
