THE Brunei Chess Federation is inviting members of the public to participate in the New Year Chess Blitz 2017 set to take place on January 2, 2017 at the Brunei Chess Centre, Bandar Seri Begawan located at SHB Sports Complex.
Organised by the Brunei Chess Federation (BCF), the event begin at 2pm.
The deadline for registration is 1.30pm at the venue. The closing ceremony is scheduled to take place at 5.15pm.
The New Year Chess Blitz 2017 shall be a nine-round Swiss system using the Swiss Manager Programme and organised in accordance to the most recent laws of chess.
Time control for the event shall be three minutes (plus two-second increments per move per game). Entry fee for an individual player will be $10 for adults, $5 for students (U20) and $3 for junior (U14).
