Official opening for Bolkiah Garrison’s new complex

THE Bolkiah Garrison’s new complex, built to accommodate over 160 single soldiers, is now officially in use following a handover ceremony yesterday.

Captain (Rtd) Haji Mohammad Amirul Shahnoel bin Haji Mohammad Noeh, the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Technology) at the Ministry of Defence (MinDef) handed over a mock key to Colonel Haji Abdul Hadi bin Haji Saim, Chief of Staff, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) to signify the occasion.

The four-storey building, completed on June 11, 2016, features an administration area, furnished separate male and female accommodations, a dining hall that can cater 200 individuals as well as other facilities such as a common room, prayer rooms, laundry rooms, drying area and storerooms.

Also present at the ceremony were the Director of Logistics at MinDef, Lieutenant Colonel Pengiran Azmali bin Pengiran Haji Mohd Salleh and also Director of Development and Works Services at MinDef, Hajah Marliyana binti Haji Abdullah Fung.
