Pusat Ehsan organises race to raise funds for special needs students

TO RAISE funds for services and programmes related to the training, care and recovery of special needs individuals, Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam will be organising the first ‘Pusat Ehsan Walk, Run & Cycle 2017’ race in the capital, on March 12.

The announcement was made yesterday by Haji Ahmad bin Haji Abdul Rahman, a Trustee (Policy & Planning) of Pusat Ehsan, during a press conference at the centre.

Also present were Pengiran Datin Hajah Noraini binti Pengiran Dipa Negara Lela Diraja Pengiran Haji Abdul Momin, the Executive/Operational Trustee of Pusat Ehsan; Mewsum Wong, the General Manager of Cycletechno Event Management Solutions; Reduan Yusop, the Director of Cycletechno Event Management Solutions; and Jason Tan, the Chairman for the ‘Pusat Ehsan Walk, Run & Cycle 2017’ race.

Haji Ahmad told the assembled media that the event, which has been approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA), is also being organised in support of the Bandarku Ceria initiative on Sundays in Bandar Seri Begawan.

The ‘Pusat Ehsan Walk, Run & Cycle 2017’ is co-organised by Cycletechno Event Management Solutions and divided into three events: the Walk & Run, Fun Cycling, and the King of Criterium (KoC) Cycle Race.

The categories in the Walk & Run event are the 3km Fun Run, 5km Fun Run, 10km and 21km.

In the Fun Cycling event, the categories fall into 12km and 21km.

Meanwhile, in the KoC Cycle Race, the categories are for the Under-23 (1994 and above), Open 24-39 (1993-1978), Master A 40-49 (1968-1977), Master B (50 and above), Ladies Open (no age limit), Novice 39 and below (local), Novice 40 and above (local).
