SYARIKAT Takaful Brunei Darussalam Sdn Bhd (Takaful Brunei) and its subsidiaries, Takaful Brunei Am Sdn Bhd (TBA) and Takaful Brunei Keluarga Sdn Bhd (TBK) officially signed a Group Personal Accident and Group Term-Life agreement with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) yesterday at a ceremony that took place at the Radisson Hotel.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Surah Al-Fatihah and an opening speech from Barudin bin Haji Kudil, the TBA’s General Manager.
Then followed with the signing ceremony where signing on behalf of TBA and TBK was Haji Shahrildin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Lela Utama Dato Paduka Haji Jaya, the Takaful Brunei’s Acting Managing Director; and witnessed by Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Dewa Major General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Haji Mohammad bin Haji Daud, the Chairman of Takaful Brunei.
RBAF was represented by Lieutenant Colonel (U) Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, the Director of Personnel, Ministry of Defence (MinDef); and witnessed by Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander of the RBAF.
Under the Group Personal Accident and Group Term-Life Protection plan the protection provided to members of the RBAF is in the form of a compensation benefit due to death or total permanent disablement with an effective coverage of 24 hours worldwide both on and off duty within 12 months of the accident.
The coverage is also extended to weekly payment benefits, repatriation expenses and funeral expenses and is also inclusive of RBAF personnel who are operating in Peace Keeping and Humanitarian Missions abroad.
Yesterday’s signing concluded with the recitation of the Doa Selamat and a group photo session.
