BRUNEI-born actress Nina Iskandar is ecstatic to be nominated for the ‘Aktres Pilihan’ (Actress Choice) award for her role in the TV drama ‘Terlarang Sudah Rinduku’ at the upcoming Drama Festival Kuala Lumpur (DFKL) 2017 in April.
Fans of the local star can now vote through the official DFKL 2017 website – www.dfkl.com.my – and select ‘Undi’ > ‘Aktres Pilihan’ > ‘Nina Iskandar’.
Each person could vote up to 10 times in a day, once every two hours, and voting will end on March 20.
“It would be an honour to win and have this recognition for Brunei’s name,” chimed the 25-year-old in a phone interview with the Sunday Bulletin.
Prior to this, she was also nominated under ‘Best Drama Series’ for the same TV drama at Anugerah Skrin 2016 last November.
Nina, whose real name is Nur Akmalina Iskandar, is currently busy working on the 80-episode TV series ‘Papa Ricky’, which will air on Astro Ria. She will also star in a horror-thriller film ‘Hospital’ directed by Amiro Ghozali.
Giving some advice to those pursuing Showbiz dreams, Nina says that it is always important to be focused on the job and stay humble. “At the end of the day, we are all entertainers, and our job is to entertain people and to bring them joy,” she added.
