THE Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Ministry of Haj and Umrah held an annual Haj management meeting for Brunei Darussalam on Thursday at the Ministry of Haj and Umrah in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Leading the Brunei delegation was Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs, while the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was led by Dr Mohammed Salih bin Tahir Bentin, Minister of Haj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Also present were Dato Seri Setia Haji Yusoff bin Haji Ismail, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to to the Kingdom Saudi Arabia; Pengiran Haji Irman bin Pengiran Haji Othman, Acting Consul-General of Brunei Darussalam in Jeddah; Awang Haji Abdullah bin Haji Mohamad, Acting Managing Director for Haj and Haji Abdul Nasir bin Haji Bolhassan, a representative of Royal Brunei Airlines (RB).
The Minister of Haj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in his speech praised and expressed appreciation to the pilgrims of Brunei Darussalam.
At the meeting, the Minister of Haj and Umrah explained the efforts being undertaken by the Ministry of Haj and Umrah and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in improving accommodation, transport, and aviation to name few for the 1438 Hijrah Haj season.
The Minister of Religious Affairs, in his speech expressed his appreciation and heartiest congratulations to the Government of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Haj and Umrah on the excellent management and good services provided to pilgrims during the Haj season of 1437 Hijrah.
