Charity sales, ‘Projek Berbagi Rezeki’ and ‘Projek Baju Raya’ donation drives were also held.

For ‘Projek Berbagi Rezeki’, daily necessity and other basic necessities were collected from participants, while ‘Projek Baju Raya’ was for the participants to donate their used clothes to the needy for Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

In an interview with the Bulletin, Dr Haji Majidi bin Haji Bakar, a dental officer and chairman of the walkathon, said that the funds raised from the walkathon and other activities will go to patients listed under Medical Social Worker, as well as orphans under the Ministry of Health and national dental services.

A portion of the funds will also be set aside for the national dental services to be used to conduct religious activities in the future.

Prizes were presented to winning participants upon completion of the walkathon.

The goal of the walkathon was to raise funds for the Dental Service Charity and the needy, as well as to strengthen the relationships between the officers and staff members of the dental service and the public.

It was also meant to raise awareness on the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle through the participation in recreational activities such as walkathons.
