THE Revenue Division of the Ministry of Finance has been conducting their weekly Income Tax Workshop every Tuesday for the past few weeks since April 17.
The workshop is aimed at providing guidelines for recently registered companies regarding their tax responsibilities and obligations and to assist them to familiarise the features and functionalities of System for Tax Administration and Revenue Services (STARS), an online tax system which can be accessed via https://www.stars.gov.bn. STARS provides online filing of income tax returns and payment of corporate Income Tax online.
During the workshop, companies were also able to register their account into the STARS online system and proceed with the update of their respective companies’ information.
It is also in line with the ministry’s continuous effort to improve the business environment in Brunei Darussalam.
The ministry will be conducting similar workshops weekly every Tuesday until the end of this month, and directors of the newly incorporated companies (Sdn Bhd or Bhd) interested in understanding their roles and responsibilities as well as the general corporate tax administration in the country are invited to attend the workshop.
For further clarification or inquiry regarding the workshop, contact the Revenue Division at 2383933 or 2380651, or email at revenue@mof.gov.bn.
