THE Ministry of Development (MoD) held a Tahlil ceremony at the Royal Mausoleum yesterday for the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman.
The MoD delegation was led by the Minister of Development Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Bahrin bin Abdullah. Also present were the Permanent Secretary (Administration and Finance) Haji Muhammad Lutfi bin Abdullah and Permanent Secretary (Technical and Professional) Haji Marzuke bin Haji Mohsin.
The ceremony began with a mass recitation of Surah Yaasiin followed by a recitation of the Tahlil led by Faizal bin Rosli, a Mosque Affairs Officer at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
