THE Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and all departments under it held a third Tedarus yesterday, at the Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque, in Sengkurong.
The event began with the presentation of Waqaf to Haji Mohd Zaidin bin Haji Mohd Noor, Mosque Affair Officer, by Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.
The Waqaf comprised of one unit of five horsepower aircondition, two air coolers, one dry and wet vacuum, one water dispenser and one standing type fan.
It proceeded with the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by recitation of the Al-Quran. The ceremony was also blessed by Tahlil, Doa Arwah for the deceased and thanksgiving prayers, followed by the breaking of fast and mass Maghrib prayer.
Also present was Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Roselan bin Haji Mohamad Daud, the Acting Minister of Energy and Industry at the Prime Minister’s Office.
Also in attendance were Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar, the Chief Syar’ie Judge; Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Setia Raja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Suhaili bin Haji Mohiddin, Syariah Court of Appeal Judge; Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Japar bin Haji Mat Dain, Deputy State Mufti; Pengiran Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Syariah High Court Judge; Dato Seri Setia Haji Zaimi bin Haji Talip, Syariah High Court Judge; and Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Juanda bin Haji A Rashid, Permanent Secretary (Law and Welfare) at the Prime Minister’s Office.
The religious event was also attended by heads of departments, senior officials and staff members from the PMO and all departments under it.
The event was jointly organised by the State Mufti’s Office, State Judiciary Department, Prime Minister’s Office, Attorney General’s Chambers and the Anti-Corruption Bureau with the cooperation of the mosque commitee members.
