Thanksgiving prayers held nationwide to observe 24th Civil Service Day

THANKSGIVING ceremonies were held in conjunction with the 24th Civil Service Day across the country yesterday.

In the Brunei-Muara District, the ceremony was held at the Ash-Shaliheen Mosque.

The ceremony began with mass Asar prayer led by the Mosque Affairs Officer and Head Imam of Ash-Shaliheen Mosque followed by recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Doa Kesyukuran.

Present at the event were Permanent Secretary (Corporate Affairs and Public Administration) at the Prime Minister’s Office, Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, in his capacity as the Co-advisor of the Executive Committee of the 24th Civil Service Day and Chairman of Executive Committee of Civil Service, Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Abu Bakar bin Pengiran Seri Indera Pengiran Haji Ismail.

In the Tutong District, the ceremony was held at the Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Pekan Tutong.

Present as the guest of honour was Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, Permanent Secretary (Industry) at the Prime Minister’s Office. Members of the Legislative Council and Tutong District Officer, Shamsul Bahrin bin Haji Mohd Hussain were also present.

Meanwhile, in the Belait District, the ceremony was held at the RPN Kampong Pandan Mosque, Kuala Belait.

Present as the guest of honour was Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office, Haji Kamaluddin bin Haji Bungsu.

The ceremony began with the mass Asar prayer followed by the recitation of Surah Yaasiin. The ceremony concluded with the Doa Selamat led by the Imam of RPN Kampong Pandan Mosque.
