HIS Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon attended an Informal Dialogue with Asean Leaders. The dialogue took place at Furama Resort Da Nang in Da Nang, Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The Informal Dialogue with Asean Leaders was chaired by Tran Dai Quang the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam as chairman of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting (AELM) 2017.
His Majesty also held a bilateral meeting with Malcolm Turnbull, the Prime Minister of Australia.
During the meeting, His Majesty and Prime Minister of Australia discussed bilateral issues of mutual importance as well as regional and international matters.
Brunei Darussalam and Australia established diplomatic relations in 1984, and have since enjoyed good and friendly bilateral ties. The main areas of cooperation between the two countries are in trade, defence, education and health.
