KB SENTRAL Shopping Centre yesterday held its ‘Ride with Sentral’ cycling event – the second time the event has been hosted by the shopping centre this year, drawing cyclists from across the country – even as far as Bandar – to an otherwise normally quiet Pekan Kuala Belait.
The event is an initiative by to promote health and safety awareness in cycling on the road. This second Ride with Sentral event was co-hosted with Tum2cycles.
Cyclists were flagged off at the shopping centre’s car porch area, taking a route where they passed through the town, cycled along Jalan Maulana into Panaga, before turning back and finishing at the KB Sentral car porch.
Speaking about the event, Ahmad Anwar bin Haji Rosly, KB Sentral Marketing and Event Manager, said: “Due to the very positive feedback from cyclists during the previous Ride with Sentral event in May, KB Sentral Event Management is bringing back the Mini Lucky Draw, with prizes sponsored by KBSentral and Tum2Cycle.”
In total, 107 cyclists from around the country took part in yesterday’s ride. After completing the course, cyclists were entered into the Mini Lucky Draw.
