A RECEPTION was hosted onboard the INS Satpura last night, with the Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad attending as the guest of honour.
The INS Satpura, a Shivalik-class stealth multi-role frigate of the Indian Navy, docked on Saturday at Muara Port as part of its three-day visit to Brunei Darussalam to celebrate 25 years of Asean-India partnership and to reaffirm India’s commitment to her partners within Asean.
Receiving the Commander of the RBN was the Indian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam, Nagma M Mallick and the vessel’s Commanding Officer, Captain Rahul Shankar (NM).
In her welcoming speech, the Indian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam highlighted the strong relationship and bilateral cooperation between Brunei and India in various fields.
The reception continued with the presentation of tokens of appreciation to First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad by Commanding Officer Captain Rahul Shankar (NM). During its stay, the INS Satpura conducted military exercises as well as sports activities with the RBN.
