TWENTY-FOUR new Muslim female converts yesterday completed an advanced guidance course under the Islamic Da’wah Centre.
The programme, which was organised by the Tarbiyah Muallaf Unit under the centre’s Muallaf Development Section and began on May 12, came to a conclusion with the Acting Assistant Director of the Islamic Da’wah Centre, Ustaz Abdul Aziz bin Haji Abdul Kahar, as the closing ceremony’s guest of honour who also presented the converts with their certificates of participation.
Among the course’s aims was to refine and enhance the participants’ understanding of Islam, particularly with regards to prayers and faith.
Other objectives included training and enabling the participants to lead religious ceremonies and activities (such as Tahlil and Doa Selamat), as well as providing exposure to Dakwah information and methodologies.
Out of the 24 participants, eight were from the Brunei-Muara District, four from Belait, six from Tutong and the rest from Temburong District.
