A LOCAL female jet ski rider involved in an accident with another jet ski at the Serasa Beach yesterday morning was rescued and sent to the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital for treatment.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department, a distress call was made at 7.33am of a jet ski accident at Serasa Beach.
Led by ASFR Haji Mustapa, firefighters from the Muara Fire Station, Sungai Kebun Fire Station and the Diving Unit rushed to the scene.
The firefighters assisted in transporting the victim, who was unconscious, from the water onto land. She was brought to RIPAS Hospital by ambulance.
The Fire and Rescue Department urged the public to wear a life jacket during water activities or sports.
The public can call the Fire and Rescue Operation Centre at 995 and provide information relating to any emergency incident.
