Hajah Hamsah binti Datu Kerna Haji Jaya, Information Officer during her briefing at the roadshow touched on the proper ways of using the materials, to avoid any misuse, and nurture a sense of respect and willingness to keep the integrity of the national flag and crest.

She also shared the common mistakes such as displaying or hoisting a torn and faded national flag, allowing the national flag to become covered with plants, attaching the national flag to a flagpole of unsuitable height and hoisting it at an inappropriate location and hoisting it on the reverse side instead of the obverse (front).

Hajah Hamsah explained the need to fully respect the national flag, as it is a significant item that features the state crest, which doubles as the symbol of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.

A video presentation on the proper procedure in hoisting the national flag was shown to the participants before the roadshow ended with a question-and-answer session.
