THE State Mufti, Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, left for Perak Darul Ridzuan yesterday to fulfil an invitation in presenting the prime working paper titled ‘Kepimpinan dan Kekhalifahan, Gegasan Kostruktif Ulama dan Umara’ at the launching ceremony of Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah Muzakarah Ceremony in conjunction with His Majesty the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah Al-Maghfur-lah’s birthday celebration.
The ceremony will be held tomorrow at the Aman Jaya Convention Centre, Casuarina @ Meru, Bandar Meru Jaya, Ipoh Perak. The State Mufti in an interview explained that the title of the prime working paper, which is also the theme of the Muzakarah, will focus on the importance, shared roles and responsibilities of the Ulama (scholar) and Umara (ruler) and how the two work together and go hand in hand in leading the Ummah.
The State Mufti was accompanied by three officers from the State Mufti’s Office – Haji Mas Reduan bin Haji Jumat, Acting Head Buyuth; Haji Jakaria bin Haji Itam, Istinbat Officer; and Osman bin Abu Bakar, Head of Technical Publishing.
The main objective of the Muzakarah is to serve as a forum to describe and implement ideas. Inspirations, and planning of His Majesty the Sultan of Perak as the religious head for Perak Darul Ridzuan. In addition, it is also aimed as a medium to discuss current questions of the Ummah completely and provide solutions and to plan a reliable consolidation strategy. It is also a platform for intellectuals, scholars and professionals to spur, framework and plan practical results in building the Ummah.
The Muzakarah will be launched by His Majesty the Sultan of Perak. Expected to attend the ceremony are Duli Yang Maha Mulia Raja Permaisuri Perak Darul Ridzuan, Tuanku Zara Salim; Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Raja Muda Perak Darul Ridzuan, Raja Jaafar ibni Almarhum Raja Muda Musa; Chief Minister of Perak Darul Ridzuan, Dato Seri Diraja Dr Zambry bin Abdul Kadir and spouse; and the Mufti of Perak Darul Ridzuan, Sahibus Samahah Tan Sri Dato’ Seri (Dr) Haji Harussani bin Haji Zakaria; as well as members of Perak State Legislative Council.
