THE KamiPrihatin Association, also known as WeCare, hosted its first forum at the Design and Technology (D&T) Building in Kampong Anggerek Desa yesterday.

Students from higher educational institutions and representatives from locally registered non-government organisations (NGOs) attended the event.

The forum aimed to raise awareness on the importance of charity work, both within and outside Brunei, especially among youths.

The topics included the role of youths in society, along with the challenges of charity work, presented by three NGO representatives: Hadi Iqbal, from the Society for Community Outreach and Training (SCOT); Pengiran Haji Ahmad Fadillah Akbar bin Pengiran Haji Sellahhuddin, the Founder of the Bina Ukhwah Project; and Iqbal Damit, from the Brunei Hand 4 Hand Association.

The representatives shared their experiences in performing charitable activities for the benefit and wellbeing of others.

WeCare is a non-profit NGO established in 2016. It aims to provide assistance to philanthropic issues both locally and internationally as well as instill and nurture good values of giving and caring among society.
