The SEAMEO Voctech Regional Centre hosted a welcoming dinner and appreciation night in conjunction with its 25th anniversary and the TVET International Conference on ‘Ensuring Greater Impact of TVET for Sustainable Development’ last Wednesday night at The Rizqun International Hotel.
The welcoming dinner and appreciation night was graced by Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, the Minister of Education.
In his speech, Haji Md Sharifuddin bin Haji Md Salleh, SEAMEO Voctech Centre Director announced that the event was also organised to appreciate and recognise the contribution of the former Governing Board Chairmen.
He added that in pursuit for global recognition and in maintaining credible and sustainable development in its operation, SEAMEO Voctech has harmonised its strategic focus area with client needs and demands.

As part of the event, Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Muhammmad, the first chairman of SEAMEO Voctech Governing Board gave some insight and wisdom as he shared his experience during the establishment of the centre.
The guest of honour then proceeded to present tokens of appreciation to all former chairmen of SEAMEO Voctech Regional Centre.
Also attending the welcoming dinner and appreciation night was Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, the Deputy Minister of Education, and permanent secretaries.
