THE Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and departments under it held a second Tedarus Al-Quran ceremony at the Kampong Lambak Berakas Mosque at Jalan Pasir Berakas yesterday.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud was the guest of honour.
Heads of departments, senior officials and staff members from the PMO and all departments under it also attended the religious event.
The event began with the mosque’s Imam receiving Waqaf contributions in the form of two television units, two vacuum cleaners and a portable speaker, as well as monetary donation by Auditor General Dato Paduka Haji Yahya bin Haji Idris.
The event continued with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by recitation of Al-Quran.
The ceremony was also blessed by the recitation of Tahlil and Doa Arwah for the deceased and Doa Kesyukuran, followed by the breaking of fast and mass Maghrib prayer.
The event was jointly organised by the State Mufti’s Office, State Judiciary Department, Prime Minister’s Office, Attorney General’s Chambers and the Anti-Corruption Bureau with the cooperation of the mosque’s Takmir committee members.
