BAIDURI Bank organised a shopping activity and breaking of fast for eight underprivileged families in the Belait District, the second of four events where Baiduri Bank will give back to the local community during the holy month of Ramadhan.
The families were identified through the Community Development Department (JAPEM), Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The event aimed to provide relief for them during Ramadhan by taking them shopping for their household necessities in preparation for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations. The event was held at Jaya Hypermarket, KB Sentral.
Head of Baiduri Bank Group Communications Department Dorothy Newn spoke on the bank’s commitment in giving back to the community. “The needs of our local community are close to our hearts and we hope that this contribution brings some relief for these families. This spirit of caring for one another is a quality we value and encourage among our staff, and is a pillar in our corporate responsibility programme.”
The event concluded with the breaking of fast at All Season’s Restaurant at KB Sentral for the families and Baiduri Bank volunteers.
Also present were Kuala Belait Branch Manager of Baiduri Bank Ngo Yik Pei and bank personnel.
