BMC achieves 5M man-hours without Lost Time Injuries

BRUNEI Methanol Company Sdn Bhd (BMC) achieved impressive five million man-hours of work in their facilities in Sungai Liang Industrial Park (SPARK) without any Lost Time Injury (LTI).

This significant milestone has been reached in the period since January 14, 2013 where there are no recordable cases of LTI in its manufacturing plant and administration offices.

The award was signed and presented by BMC Chairman Masao Fujii to BMC CEO, Takayuki Miyamato, witnessed by the members of Board of Directors of Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Co, Petroleum Brunei (PB) Petrochemicals and ITOCHU Corporation and BMC’s Executive Management staff.

BMC has been working on their processes optimisation, upgrading its fire and safety equipments and promoting safety culture and competency for its staff in daily operations.
