OVER 40 Borneo United Enterprise Sdn Bhd employees yesterday rolled up their sleeves to donate blood at the company’s annual blood donation drive at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital Blood Donation Centre.
Borneo United Enterprise Sdn Bhd Managing Director Stanley Lim Hock Ghim led the team at the event, which is held as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR).
He explained that the campaign – held for the second time this year – is part of the company’s annual charity activity, and receives encouraging support from the company’s employees and management team.
The company had organised the blood donation campaign for more than eight years now as a means to give back to the community.
The RIPAS Hospital Blood Donation Centre welcomes members of the public to come forward to donate blood to help increase reserves of blood supply. The centre also encourages private companies and welfare bodies keen on donating blood to come to the centre.
Meanwhile, the RIPAS Hospital Blood Bank Mobile Unit will continue to hold the blood donation drive at Lumut Camp on June 25, I Say Yatta (Serusop) on June 26, Berakas Camp on June 27, Daelim (Serasa) on June 28, Berakas Secondary School on June 30, JIUN (In-house) on July 1, PLMT on July 4, Al-’Afiah Hall on July 5, Petrokon KB on July 7, Maktab Duli on July 9, the Gurkha (Seria) on July 10, IBTE Agro-Technology Campus on July 11, Thinkerbell on July 12 and at The Empire Hotel & Country Club on July 13.
