THE Administration Department of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) recently presented donations to six needy families in the Brunei-Muara and Temburong districts, who are recipients of the Community Development Department (JAPEM) and the Asnaf Zakat under the Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB).
The charity project, dubbed Semanis Ramadhan, was simultaneously conducted by three groups.
The first group led by Acting Director of Administration at the MoRA Mohammad Sofian bin Haji Basri and Acting Assistant Director of Administration (Human Resources Management) at the MoRA Dayangku Aaliyah Hannah binti Pengiran Haji Maslon, managed the handover of donations to the recipient families at RPN Kampong Katok and Kampong Jerudong.
The second group that was led by Acting Assistant Director of Administration (Finance Section) at the MoRA Hajah Nor Azimah binti Begawan Pehin Khatib Haji Ahmad presented donations to the recipients in Kampong Kapok and Kampong Pintu Malim.
Meanwhile, the third group that was led by Head of the Human Resources Development and Planning Section at the MoRA Haji Sufri bin Kurus presented donations to the recipients in Kampong Batang Duri and Kampong Bangar in the Temburong District.
The Semanis Ramadhan project is an initiative of the officers and staff members from MoRA’s Administration Department to alleviate the burden of less fortunate families during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.
Last year the project was focussed on recipient families in the Tutong District.
